This engineering plastic has probably one of the
best abrasion resistance levels of all the
engineering plastics to make UHMWPE probably unique at
this level. Another key reason that UHMWPE Rod is
chosen is because of the very low friction levels
which make for very free running bearings or
sliding surfaces. UHMWPE has similar low friction
levels to that of PTFE which is very good indeed.
